Posted by pae on November 20th, 2010

Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) tells us about his legislative interests, why it's important for everyone to get involved in MS advocacy and his new job leading the MS Caucus.

The opinions expressed are those of the interview subjects and do not represent the National MS Society.

Listening to Senator Casey speak gives me hope. As a 28 year old in a wheelchair as a result of MS, this makes me believe that there will be a cure in my lifetime. It is people like Senator Casey that keep me motivated to push foreward everyday.

I’m encouraged by Senator Casey’s interview and his support for MS in Senate. I was Diagnosed with MS in 2003-2004 period at the prime of my profession.I worked as Interventional Radiologist; which I had to stopped at the end of 2004.I never give up Hope because of the people like Senator Casey. At present I adjusted my work a bit; work as Diagnostic Radiologist which is less demanding for my physical condition. The most important things are; accept the Diagnosis and challenges, keep Hope, adjust and to be productive in live whatever our situation is.
